How Chipped Teeth Are Evaluated at Our Practice

Chipped Tooth Repair
When you visit our practice with a chipped or cracked tooth, a comprehensive evaluation will be conducted. Advanced diagnostic tools, including digital X-rays, help determine the extent of the damage and identify any underlying issues. This careful assessment allows our team to create an effective treatment plan tailored to your needs. Throughout the process, we focus on clear communication and compassionate care so you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.

Effective Repair Methods for Chipped or Cracked Teeth

There are several treatment options available for chipped and cracked teeth, depending on the severity of the damage:
Chipped Tooth Repair
  • Tooth Bonding: For minor chips, we may recommend dental bonding using a tooth-colored composite resin. This method is effective in restoring the tooth’s appearance, and studies show it can be completed in just one visit, minimizing disruption to your day.
  • Dental Crowns: If the damage is more extensive, a dental crown may be necessary. This cap fits over the entire tooth, providing strength and protection.
  • Dental Veneers: In cases where aesthetics are a top priority, porcelain veneers can provide a lifelike restoration for chipped front teeth.
  • Root Canal Therapy: For severe cracks that expose the pulp, root canal therapy may be required before placing a crown.
  • Tooth Implants: If a tooth is irreparably damaged, a dental implant can replace it entirely, restoring both function and aesthetics.

Understanding Tooth Damage Types and Their Implications

Chipped Tooth Repair
The type of tooth damage can vary from minor chips to more significant fractures. A chipped tooth usually affects only the enamel, while a cracked tooth may involve deeper structures of the tooth. Understanding these distinctions is important when determining the most appropriate treatment. At Dunwoody Dental Health, our team carefully evaluates each case and explains what the damage means for your oral health. We guide patients through the possible implications of their condition and recommend treatment options designed to protect the tooth and restore its strength and appearance.

Managing Sensitivity After Tooth Repair Procedures

Chipped Tooth Repair
Following any repair procedure, it is common to experience some sensitivity, especially to hot or cold foods and drinks. Our team provides clear guidelines to help manage this temporary discomfort, which may include using a desensitizing toothpaste and avoiding extreme temperatures for a short period after treatment. At Dunwoody Dental Health, patient comfort is always a priority. Our staff is available to answer any questions you may have about post-procedure care and to ensure you feel confident and supported during your recovery.

Dr. Zainab was AMAZING! Very informative and helped me better understand my oral health. Everling took really good care of me during my x-rays and made sure I was comfortable. During check-in/check-out Sieeda was very patient with me scheduling my next follow up visits. These ladies were truly outstanding and made my experience great.

Dr zainab baqri was amazing and explained everything she was doing as she did it and made me feel so comfortable in her hands. Sharon, her tech, explained the process of X-rays so I felt comfortable. Thank you both for your expertise and kindness!! PS- my teeth feel great…so clean!

This office, doctors and team are amazing. I can definitely tell it’s under new ownership (been coming here for a while) because of all of changes - they are in network with my insurance (and most PPOs they said), technology upgrades everywhere and they quoted everything accurately upfront. The previous ownership didn’t quote correctly and later found out they were out of network. If you go to an out of network place near here, give this place a try. They offer better service with in network prices. For past and future patients (read past reviews), ignore them and come back. It doesn’t represent the new changes. Everyone was amazing! Thanks Dunwoody Dental Health - will be a long time customer!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at Dunwoody Dental Health! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. The office is modern, spotless, and very comfortable, which immediately put me at ease. The dental team took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. The hygienist was gentle yet thorough, and the dentist was knowledgeable, attentive, and honest about treatment options. I never felt rushed or pressured. This is easily the best dental experience I’ve had, and I highly recommend Dunwoody Dental Health to anyone looking for top-quality care with a personal touch.

I used to go to Pure Health Dental, but now they have new ownership, and I can confidently say I am happy about that change. The doctor was very professional and did not make me feel like he wanted me to pay for unnecessary services. He took care of the crown I got a couple of years ago that the previous doctor had pretty much messed up. I have dental anxiety, but the atmosphere in this office made me feel relaxed, from the front office team to the doctor. I am definitely letting my kids and husband come to this office for their dental care. Exceptional work, Dunwoody Dental Health. You really know how to take good care of your patients. See you soon :)
